Pita chips

Cut the pita breads into bite-sized triangles and toss them in a bowl with the olive oil, za'atar, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.

Ingredients

  • 2 piece pita breads, cut into triangles
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp za'atar
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Steps

  1. Cut the pita breads into bite-sized triangles and toss them in a bowl with the olive oil, za'atar, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  2. Spread half the triangles in the air fryer basket in a single layer, overlapping as little as possible.
  3. Cook at 175°C for 9–11 minutes, shaking the basket twice, until golden and crisp.
  4. Repeat with the second batch and let the chips cool for 2 minutes to crisp up fully. Serve with hummus or tzatziki.
