Chicken Katsu
Season the flattened chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat each one in flour, beaten egg and panko, pressing the crumbs on firmly.
Ingredients
- 4 piece chicken breasts, flattened
- 100 g panko breadcrumbs
- 60 g plain flour
- 2 piece eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 4 tbsp tonkatsu sauce
Steps
- Season the flattened chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat each one in flour, beaten egg and panko, pressing the crumbs on firmly.
- Spray or drizzle both sides of the crumbed cutlets with sunflower oil so the panko turns golden.
- Arrange the cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C for 14 minutes, turning them over halfway.
- Rest for 2 minutes, cut into thick strips and serve with tonkatsu sauce and steamed rice.
