Chicken Katsu

Season the flattened chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat each one in flour, beaten egg and panko, pressing the crumbs on firmly.

Ingredients

  • 4 piece chicken breasts, flattened
  • 100 g panko breadcrumbs
  • 60 g plain flour
  • 2 piece eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp sunflower oil
  • 4 tbsp tonkatsu sauce

Steps

  1. Season the flattened chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat each one in flour, beaten egg and panko, pressing the crumbs on firmly.
  2. Spray or drizzle both sides of the crumbed cutlets with sunflower oil so the panko turns golden.
  3. Arrange the cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook at 200°C for 14 minutes, turning them over halfway.
  4. Rest for 2 minutes, cut into thick strips and serve with tonkatsu sauce and steamed rice.
