Ingredients

  • 3 piece green plantains, peeled
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp lime juice

Steps

  1. Slice the peeled green plantains into very thin rounds, about 2 mm thick, using a mandoline or a sharp knife.
  2. Toss the slices in a bowl with vegetable oil, salt, garlic powder and smoked paprika until lightly and evenly coated.
  3. Spread them in the air fryer basket in a single layer, working in batches so the slices never overlap.
  4. Cook at 180°C for 12 minutes, shaking the basket every 4 minutes, until crisp and golden at the edges.
  5. Sprinkle with lime juice and a little extra salt, then let the chips crisp up fully as they cool.
