Spinach balls

Squeeze the chopped spinach very dry, then mix it in a bowl with breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, egg, finely chopped onion and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 250 g spinach, chopped and squeezed dry
  • 50 g breadcrumbs
  • 25 g parmesan, grated
  • 1 piece egg
  • 0.5 piece onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 10 g butter, melted
  • 1 pinch nutmeg, ground
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Steps

  1. Squeeze the chopped spinach very dry, then mix it in a bowl with breadcrumbs, grated parmesan, egg, finely chopped onion and garlic.
  2. Stir in the melted butter, nutmeg and salt, then roll the mixture into small balls about 3 cm across.
  3. Arrange the balls in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between them, and mist lightly with olive oil.
  4. Cook at 180°C for 12–14 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until firm and golden. Serve warm with a yoghurt dip.
